The FOCEM is a fund destined to finance projects in order to promote structural convergence; develop competitiveness; foster social cohesion -especially of the smaller economies and less developed regions; and support the functioning of the institutional structure and the strengthening of the integration process.

HUMAN RIGHTS

The Institute of Public Policies on Human Rights (IPPDH) aims to strengthen human rights as a fundamental axis of regional identity and integration through cooperation and coordination of public policies.

COOPERATION

International cooperation is key in MERCOSUR at all levels. Multiple cooperation projects have already been carried out with the support of various international organisations and cooperating countries in priority areas such as: health, education, environment, gender, intra-regional trade and productive integration, to name a few.
